Are you keeping up with all the new social networking sites and making use of any of them? Have you seen the social networking grid? It's not a complete list, but it's a lot of sites. Choose a few to make new contacts on and get your social networking off the ground. Look for the new ones that are taking off with high numbers like Hi5.
But remember, don't be foolish and annoy your new friends with advertisements, they can get those anywhere. They want to make friends to have conversations with and share interests, then they may want to hear about your information and what you are into online. But be subtle.
Try to enjoy yourself a little ..."all work and no play make Johnny a dull boy." Life is not all about Internet marketing, especially on April Fool's Day. This might be the only foolishness that can make you money.

Make Web Links Open Automatically in New Windows

It's handy to use the tool that WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors give you to make a link open, using highlighted words. It looks neat and professional that way, on your web pages. But it bothered me that the page I was viewing was replaced with the new link's page. Then I have to go back where I was right away, and Right Click to Open in a New Window; or just remember to go back as many as it takes, to get back to the original page I was reading before I clicked a link. Are you with me so far? I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear enough.

Here's an example:
I want to open this link but it replaces my web page, so when I put on my webmaster hat and edit Html, I need to add a couple of words to my links to get them behaving properly...

Instead of open this link
I want target="new">open this link
So add a -space- after the web page destination quote and type target="new" before the bracket. And now you have edited your Html code to make your links act properly.

One more thing - and this is an important one - whatever words you use for the link, make sure the words are keywords, so the search engines index your page in the most optimal way. So now my link will look like this...

So, give your links manners and help them open automatically in a new window for your readers, in case they forget to Right Click for options.

Mining YouTube For Traffic Back To Web Sites

Most webmasters have heard of posting on forums and other people's websites, to generate traffic back to their sites. But how do we know which sites we should post on? Do they have enough traffic to do our site any good? And do the readers happily click lots of links, so we have a chance of them coming over to visit our site? These are common questions that need answers so we don't waste our time posting to sites that will not generate any traffic for us. Or worse yet, paying for a Google Ad on those sites without any return.

Some have downloaded the Alexa tool-bar to be able to see statistics in their browser, as they go to each site. If you want to get the tool-bar, click on the Alexa link above and then click, get Sparky, for your browser version. Alexa's Sparky tool-bar does not tell us, however, if the people at a site or forum will click our links and visit us. It's a cool tool, but we need more information than only traffic numbers.

Another option is to use information posted on You Tube for "click-throughs" from other sites. Under each You Tube video is the word "Links." When you click on the word, you see where people came from that clicked to see the video. If it's a place you can post an Ad Sense ad or a link-back Forum post with a lot of traffic, you already know what topic interests those people and that they like to click on links. How convenient for web site owners wanting traffic.
So, now you can look up key words in YouTube's Search Box under Videos, and find all the relevant traffic sites you need. Oh, Happy Day!

Want one more little search tool to find traffic from Google? Find yourself a few good blogs with a high ranking at Google ...then read entries and post comments, with a link back to your site. Say something smart and grab attention. Hopefully you are a well-rounded individual and can write on any number of subjects. Many passionate people enjoy knowing many different things and you should be one of them. Read a lot and then post a lot, to get traffic. This is a fun way to get targeted traffic, since the blogs you find should have something to do with what your site customers want. Do this a little each day and all those back-links start building up for you.

Thought 37 - “My life is out of control!”

(Are you following along? Here's an example...) Thought 37 Today we are fasting from the thought that says: “My life is out of control!” That’s what the devil wants you to think. He wants you to feel helpless and “under” the circumstances. When you think this way, you get discouraged. You lose hope. You give into things. Like a jellyfish, you are carried by the prevailing current. No it’s not! 1. Think above. Stop for a moment and understand what I’m saying here. Think “above” – think from a higher point of view. Look down at life rather than “up” at it. When Elisha’s servant saw from “above”, he realized there were more for him than those against him. (2 Kings 6:14-17) Notice, God didn’t add any chariots. They were always there. Elisha’s servant just couldn’t see them, because he wasn’t thinking “above.” THINK ABOVE. 2. Don’t see the bigger picture today. That’s not a typo! Think of your situation and your world as small. Think of yourself bigger. Don’t forget – how YOU see yourself, is how life will see you. That’s how the devil will see you. That’s how your mountain will see you. If you see yourself bigger than the mountain (Greater is He that is in you—that makes you big!), then the mountain will respect what you say when you tell it to move! 3. The best day of your life is the day you decide your choices are your own; therefore, your life is your own. No excuses. No one to blame. Remember the lame man at the pool of Bethesda for 38 years. He stayed in his condition because he told Jesus what he had believed for all those years: “I have no one to help me.” (John 5:7) DECIDE TO OWN YOUR CHOICES and you will own the life God wants you to have. 4. Focus on the inside, not the outside. If you’re like me, there are several things on the outside that are not fully under control, but that’s not my job. My job is to get control of the inside. That’s what this fast from wrong thinking is about. It’s taking care of the INSIDE. Deal with your thoughts by continually going over these emails, these verses, these mindsets. YOU ARE IN CONTROL IF YOU CONTROL YOUR THOUGHT LIFE. 5. Take control of your day, one thought at a time. Don’t be overwhelmed. Isaiah 28:13 says that we build God’s Word and God’s thoughts in our lives: “line upon line, precept upon precept.” THINK IT & SAY IT: I am in control of my life, because I am in control of my thoughts. I rule my life by ruling my thoughts. My thoughts liberate my emotions, my health, my relationships and my whole life. I will not stay in a defeated, lonely, sick, depressed condition another day of my life. I focus on the inside (HE is in me, I look up to HIM). I know the thoughts of victory that I am developing will take care of my outside. This fast from wrong thinking is working IN ME, in Jesus’ name. I think ABOVE beginning today. I choose to look down at life, rather than look up at it. I see it from God’s point of view. I’m bigger than my problem, bigger than the mountain, bigger than any enemy I face today. Greater, larger and more dominant is HE that is in me, than he that is in the world. TODAY IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE, because I have control of the choices I make.
